A Freshly Baked Strawberry Pie

This classic Strawberry Pie is bursting with fresh, juicy strawberries in a sweet and tangy glaze. A perfect dessert for summer gatherings, it’s easy to make and always a crowd-pleaser.

  • 1 prepared pie crust, baked and cooled
  • 4 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup water
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine water, sugar, cornstarch, and salt.
  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and becomes clear.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in lemon juice and butter until melted.
  4. Gently fold in the sliced strawberries.
  5. Pour the strawberry mixture into the prepared pie crust.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours, or until set.
  7. Serve chilled.
