These Puff Pastry Brie Bites are an easy and elegant appetizer perfect for any gathering. Flaky puff pastry cups filled with creamy brie cheese and your favorite toppings create a delightful flavor combination.

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 4 ounces brie cheese, rind removed and cubed
  • 1/4 cup fig jam or honey
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Fresh thyme sprigs (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Lightly flour a clean surface and unfold the puff pastry sheet.
  3. Cut the puff pastry into 12 equal squares.
  4. Press each square into a mini muffin tin.
  5. Place a few cubes of brie cheese into each puff pastry cup.
  6. Top with a small spoonful of fig jam or honey, and sprinkle with chopped nuts if desired.
  7. Brush the edges of the puff pastry with the beaten egg.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the puff pastry is golden brown and the brie is melted and bubbly.
  9. Let the bites cool slightly in the muffin tin before transferring them to a serving plate.
  10. Garnish with fresh thyme sprigs before serving.

Notes

For a savory twist, try using pesto or sun-dried tomato tapenade instead of fig jam or honey.
