This Pineapple Pecan Cheese Ball is a delightful appetizer, perfect for parties and gatherings. Creamy and tangy, it’s coated with crunchy pecans and sweet pineapple for a flavor explosion.

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 (8 ounce) can crushed pineapple, well drained
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans, divided
  • 1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 1 tablespoon chopped onion
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Crackers, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
  2. Stir in the drained crushed pineapple, 1/4 cup of the chopped pecans, green bell pepper, onion, sugar, and garlic powder.
  3. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow the flavors to meld.
  4. Place the remaining 1/4 cup of chopped pecans on a plate.
  5. Remove the cheese mixture from the refrigerator and shape it into a ball.
  6. Roll the cheese ball in the pecans, coating it evenly.
  7. Wrap the cheese ball in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
  8. Serve with crackers.

Notes

For a festive touch, add some dried cranberries to the pecan coating. Serve with a variety of crackers, such as Ritz, wheat thins, or baguette slices.
