  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 6 ounces semi-sweet chocolate, melted
  • For the Topping:
  • Whipped cream or whipped topping
  • Cocoa powder, for dusting

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Crust: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). In a medium bowl, combine chocolate wafer crumbs, melted butter, and sugar. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch pie plate.
  2. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until set. Let cool completely.
  3. Make the Filling: In a large bowl, whisk together sweetened condensed milk, heavy cream, cocoa powder, salt, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Stir in the melted chocolate until well combined.
  5. Pour the filling into the cooled crust.
  6. Chill the Pie: Cover the pie with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the filling to set completely.
  7. Serve: Before serving, top with whipped cream or whipped topping and dust with cocoa powder.
