This Maple Dijon Glazed Beef Tenderloin features tender, juicy beef coated in a sweet and tangy maple dijon glaze, perfect for a special dinner or festive occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (2-pound) beef tenderloin, trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together maple syrup, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, and thyme; set aside.
  3. Season the beef tenderloin generously with salt and pepper.
  4. Heat olive oil in a large ovenproof skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Sear the tenderloin on all sides until browned, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  6. Brush the maple dijon glaze over the seared beef tenderloin.
  7. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and roast for 15-20 minutes, or until a meat thermometer reads 135°F (57°C) for medium-rare.
  8. Remove from oven, brush with remaining glaze, and let rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

For added flavor, let the tenderloin marinate in half the glaze for up to 2 hours before cooking.
