  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • Halloween sprinkles
  • Halloween candies (e.g., candy corn, chocolate bats, gummy worms)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Prepare brownie batter according to package directions. Pour into the prepared pan.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth and creamy.
  4. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  5. Stir in the flour until just combined.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture over the brownie batter.
  7. Use a knife or skewer to swirl the cream cheese mixture into the brownie batter.
  8. Sprinkle generously with Halloween sprinkles and candies.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with fudgy crumbs.
  10. Let cool completely before cutting into squares.

Notes

For an extra spooky touch, use orange and black food coloring to tint the cream cheese mixture before swirling into the brownies.
