Jalapeno Popper Cheese Ball Appetizer

This Jalapeno Popper Cheese Ball is the perfect appetizer for any party! Creamy, cheesy, and with a spicy kick, it’s sure to be a crowd-pleaser.

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 4 ounces sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 4 ounces Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup pickled jalapenos, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons pickled jalapeno juice
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 cup cooked bacon, crumbled
  • Crackers, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, beat together the cream cheese, cheddar cheese, and Monterey Jack cheese until smooth and creamy.
  2. Stir in the mayonnaise, sour cream, chopped jalapenos, jalapeno juice, green onions, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  3. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
  4. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld.
  5. Remove the cheese mixture from the refrigerator.
  6. Shape the cheese mixture into a ball.
  7. Place the crumbled bacon on a plate or in a shallow bowl.
  8. Roll the cheese ball in the bacon until it is completely coated.
  9. Wrap the cheese ball in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the bacon to adhere.
  10. Serve the Jalapeno Popper Cheese Ball with crackers.

Notes

For an extra spicy kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the cheese mixture. Serve with assorted crackers, pretzels, or even vegetable sticks.
