This Honey Garlic Ground Beef and Broccoli Stir-fry is a quick and flavorful dish combining tender ground beef with crisp broccoli in a savory honey garlic sauce, perfect for a wholesome weeknight dinner.

  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp ginger, grated
  • 1/4 cup beef broth or water
  • 1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water (optional, for thickening)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and grated ginger; sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon; season with salt and pepper.
  4. Drain excess fat if necessary, then stir in soy sauce, honey, and beef broth.
  5. Add broccoli florets to the skillet and stir well to combine.
  6. Cover and cook for 4-5 minutes until broccoli is tender-crisp.
  7. If you prefer a thicker sauce, stir in the cornstarch slurry and cook for another minute until sauce thickens.
  8. Sprinkle with red pepper flakes if desired, adjust seasoning, and remove from heat.
  9. Serve hot over steamed rice or noodles.

Notes

For extra flavor, garnish with chopped green onions or toasted sesame seeds. Serve over jasmine rice or quinoa for a complete meal.
