Homemade Caesar Salad Dressing Recipe

This homemade Caesar salad dressing recipe is rich, creamy, and bursting with flavor. Made with simple ingredients, it’s the perfect complement to your favorite Caesar salad.

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1-2 tablespoons water, to thin (optional)
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, Parmesan cheese, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, garlic, and Worcestershire sauce.
  2. Add the black pepper and whisk again to combine.
  3. Slowly drizzle in the olive oil while whisking constantly until the dressing is emulsified and smooth.
  4. If the dressing is too thick, add water, one tablespoon at a time, until it reaches your desired consistency.
  5. Season with salt to taste.
  6. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  7. Serve over your favorite Caesar salad and enjoy!

Notes

For a more intense flavor, add a pinch of anchovy paste or finely minced anchovies. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
