  • 1 (15 ounce) package Oreo cookies, finely crushed
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 (16 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • 2 (3.4 ounce) packages instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 3 cups milk
  • Gummy worms and Halloween sprinkles for decoration

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, cream together the cream cheese and butter until smooth.
  2. Gradually beat in the powdered sugar until fully incorporated and smooth.
  3. Gently fold in the thawed whipped topping.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the instant vanilla pudding mix and milk until thickened.
  5. Gently fold the pudding mixture into the cream cheese mixture.
  6. In a large trifle bowl or individual serving dishes, layer crushed Oreos and the pudding mixture, starting and ending with Oreos.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow the flavors to meld.
  8. Before serving, decorate with gummy worms and Halloween sprinkles.

Notes

For an extra spooky touch, add a layer of crushed chocolate sandwich cookies with green food coloring to resemble moss.
