  • 1 cup (2 sticks) salted butter
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 box (about 40) saltine crackers
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • Halloween sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
  2. Arrange saltine crackers in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  3. In a saucepan, melt butter and brown sugar together over medium heat, stirring constantly until smooth and bubbling.
  4. Pour the butter mixture evenly over the crackers.
  5. Bake for 5-7 minutes, or until the toffee is bubbly.
  6. Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle chocolate chips over the hot toffee. Let sit for a minute or two to soften.
  7. Spread the melted chocolate evenly over the toffee.
  8. Sprinkle with Halloween sprinkles.
  9. Let cool completely, then break into pieces.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate chips. Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
