  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • Green food coloring
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for coating)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, beat granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, oil, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Add green food coloring to the wet ingredients and mix until evenly colored.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  6. Place powdered sugar in a shallow bowl. Scoop dough by tablespoonfuls and roll into balls.
  7. Roll each ball generously in powdered sugar, coating completely.
  8. Place the coated dough balls on the prepared baking sheet, about 2 inches apart.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until cookies have cracked but remain soft inside.
  10. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
