Ghost Mini Taco Pies on a Spooky Plate

These adorable Ghost Mini Taco Pies are a fun and festive Halloween treat! Flaky pie crusts filled with savory taco meat and topped with ghostly cheese create a spooky and delicious snack or appetizer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (14.1 oz) package refrigerated pie crusts
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ¼ cup black olives, sliced
  • 1 package (8 oz) mozzarella cheese slices

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Brown ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Drain off any excess grease.
  3. Stir in taco seasoning and water. Simmer for 5 minutes, or until liquid is absorbed.
  4. Unroll pie crusts and use a 3-inch round cookie cutter to cut out circles. Gently press each circle into a mini muffin tin.
  5. Spoon taco meat into each pie crust cup. Top with cheddar cheese.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until crust is golden brown and cheese is melted.
  7. While the pies are baking, cut mozzarella cheese slices into ghost shapes using a small cookie cutter or knife.
  8. Remove taco pies from oven and let cool slightly. Top each pie with a mozzarella cheese ghost.
  9. Add sour cream for the eyes on the ghosts, and the black olives for extra ghoulish effect.

Notes

For an extra kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the taco meat. Serve immediately or at room temperature.
