Garlic Olive Oil Dip

A simple and flavorful garlic olive oil dip perfect for bread, veggies, or drizzling over dishes, combining rich olive oil with aromatic garlic.

  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine the minced garlic and lemon juice. Let it sit for 5 minutes to mellow the garlic’s sharpness.
  2. Add the extra virgin olive oil, red pepper flakes, and dried oregano to the bowl.
  3. Whisk all ingredients together until well combined.
  4. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
  5. Let the dip rest at room temperature for 10 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
  6. Serve with crusty bread, fresh vegetables, or use as a drizzle over grilled meats or salads.

Notes

For a creamier texture, add a tablespoon of grated Parmesan cheese or blend the mixture briefly with a hand blender.
