  • 1 round loaf of bread (sourdough or Italian), about 12 inches in diameter
  • 8 ounces brie cheese, in a round
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional: Honey or fig jam for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Using a serrated knife, carefully cut a circle in the center of the bread, about 6 inches in diameter, creating a wreath shape. Remove the bread from the center.
  3. In a small bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  4. Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over the top and sides of the bread wreath.
  5. Place the brie round in the center of the wreath.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and the brie is soft and melted.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving. Optional: Drizzle honey or fig jam over the brie before serving.
