Fried Brie Bites

These golden and crispy fried brie bites are the perfect appetizer for any gathering. They’re melty, gooey, and irresistibly delicious when paired with a sweet dipping sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces brie cheese, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • Your favorite dipping sauce (honey, jam, or balsamic glaze)

Instructions

  1. Place the flour, beaten egg, and panko breadcrumbs into three separate shallow dishes.
  2. Dredge each brie cube in the flour, then dip in the egg, and finally coat with panko breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere.
  3. Heat about 1 inch of vegetable oil in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
  4. Carefully drop the breaded brie bites into the hot oil in batches, being careful not to overcrowd the pan.
  5. Fry for 15-20 seconds per side, or until golden brown and the brie starts to melt slightly.
  6. Remove the fried brie bites with a slotted spoon and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
  7. Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

For an extra layer of flavor, add a pinch of garlic powder or dried herbs to the panko breadcrumbs.
