A tangy and versatile balsamic vinaigrette made with simple ingredients, perfect for salads, marinating, and drizzling over vegetables.

  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 3/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl or jar, whisk together the balsamic vinegar, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, and honey until combined.
  2. Slowly drizzle in the olive oil while whisking continuously to emulsify the dressing.
  3. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
  4. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week. Shake or stir well before using.
  5. Drizzle over your favorite salad greens or use as a marinade.

Notes

For a creamier dressing, add a teaspoon of mayonnaise or Greek yogurt. Adjust sweetness with more honey if desired.
