This Dump-and-Bake Meatball Casserole is an effortless, hearty meal featuring savory meatballs baked in a rich tomato sauce topped with melted cheese, perfect for a family dinner.

  • 1 (24 oz) jar marinara sauce
  • 1 (12 oz) package frozen meatballs
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a 9×13 inch baking dish, pour the marinara sauce evenly.
  3. Arrange the frozen meatballs evenly over the sauce.
  4. Sprinkle Italian seasoning and red pepper flakes over meatballs.
  5. Top the meatballs and sauce with shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese.
  6. Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil.
  7. Bake for 40 minutes or until meatballs are heated through and cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Remove foil and bake an additional 5 minutes for a golden cheese topping.
  9. Garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired before serving.
