Date Brownies

Deliciously rich and naturally sweetened date brownies, perfect for a healthy dessert or snack option that satisfies your chocolate cravings without refined sugar.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup pitted dates
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons almond milk (or any milk)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a food processor, blend the pitted dates until they form a sticky paste.
  3. Add the walnuts, cocoa powder, rolled oats, melted coconut oil, vanilla extract, salt, and almond milk to the processor.
  4. Pulse until the mixture is well combined but still slightly chunky.
  5. Press the batter evenly into the prepared baking pan.
  6. Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until the edges are firm but the center is still moist.
  7. Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.
  8. Serve and enjoy your natural sweet date brownies!

Notes

For an extra indulgent touch, sprinkle some dark chocolate chips on top before baking or add a pinch of cinnamon for warmth.
