  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 3 cups fresh broccoli florets
  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (optional, for browning chicken)

Instructions

  1. Optionally, heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and brown chicken breasts for 2-3 minutes per side for extra flavor. This step can be skipped.
  2. Place chicken breasts in the crockpot.
  3. In a medium bowl, mix together the cream of chicken soup, sour cream, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Pour the creamy mixture over the chicken in the crockpot.
  5. Add broccoli florets evenly over the top.
  6. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top of the broccoli.
  7. Cover and cook on low for 4 to 6 hours or on high for 2 to 3 hours, until chicken is cooked through and tender.
  8. Stir gently before serving to mix cheese and broccoli into sauce.

Notes

For added texture, serve over cooked rice or egg noodles and garnish with fresh parsley or extra cheddar cheese.
