Crockpot Chicken Gravy

This Crockpot Chicken Gravy combines tender slow-cooked chicken with a rich, flavorful gravy, perfect for an easy and comforting meal.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 packet onion soup mix
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup (10.5 oz)
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place chicken breasts in the crockpot.
  2. In a bowl, mix chicken broth, onion soup mix, and cream of chicken soup until well combined.
  3. Pour the mixture over the chicken in the crockpot.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until chicken is tender.
  5. Remove chicken breasts and shred or slice as desired.
  6. In a small bowl, combine cornstarch and water to create a slurry.
  7. Stir the slurry into the crockpot gravy and cook on high for an additional 15-20 minutes until the gravy thickens.
  8. Return the chicken to the crockpot, stir in sour cream, and mix well.
  9. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  10. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve warm.

Notes

For extra flavor, serve over mashed potatoes, rice, or buttered noodles. You can also add sautéed mushrooms or onions if you like.
