Delicious Cranberry Meatballs Appetizer

These cranberry meatballs are a festive and flavorful appetizer or main course. The sweet and tangy cranberry sauce perfectly complements the savory meatballs for a delicious and easy-to-make dish.

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 (14 ounce) can jellied cranberry sauce
  • 1/2 cup chili sauce
  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, onion, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  3. Shape mixture into 1-inch meatballs.
  4. In a skillet over medium heat, brown meatballs on all sides.
  5. In a saucepan, combine cranberry sauce, chili sauce, and water. Bring to a simmer.
  6. Add meatballs to the cranberry sauce mixture and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until meatballs are cooked through and sauce has thickened.
  7. Serve warm.

Notes

For a sweeter sauce, add a tablespoon of brown sugar. Serve over rice or pasta for a complete meal, or as an appetizer with toothpicks.
