  • 3 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon orange extract
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • Zest of 1 orange
  • For the Garnish (optional):
  • Chocolate shavings
  • Orange slices

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Crust: In a medium bowl, combine the chocolate graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan.
  2. Bake the Crust: Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 8-10 minutes. Let cool completely.
  3. Make the Filling: In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and sugar until smooth and creamy.
  4. Add the vanilla extract and orange extract, and mix well.
  5. Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  6. Stir in the heavy cream, orange juice, cocoa powder, and orange zest until combined.
  7. Pour and Bake: Pour the filling over the cooled crust.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 55-65 minutes, or until the cheesecake is set around the edges but still slightly jiggly in the center.
  9. Cool: Turn off the oven and let the cheesecake cool in the oven with the door slightly ajar for 1 hour.
  10. Chill: Remove the cheesecake from the oven and let it cool completely. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight.
  11. Garnish and Serve: Before serving, garnish with chocolate shavings and orange slices, if desired.
