Chocolate Mint Pie

This rich and creamy Chocolate Mint Pie combines the refreshing taste of mint with smooth chocolate in a deliciously indulgent dessert perfect for any occasion.

  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate cookie crumbs
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips, melted
  • Whipped cream for garnish (optional)
  • Chocolate shavings or crushed peppermint candies for topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Combine chocolate cookie crumbs and melted butter in a bowl; press mixture into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie pan.
  2. Bake the crust for 8 minutes. Remove and let cool completely.
  3. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth and creamy.
  4. Stir in peppermint extract and melted chocolate chips until fully incorporated.
  5. In a separate bowl, whip heavy cream to stiff peaks, then gently fold into the chocolate mixture.
  6. Pour filling into the cooled crust and smooth the top.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until firm.
  8. Before serving, garnish with whipped cream and chocolate shavings or crushed peppermint candies if desired.

Notes

For an extra minty kick, add a few drops of green food coloring to the filling and serve chilled for best flavor and texture.
