Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

Moist and flavorful chocolate chip banana bread combining ripe bananas with rich chocolate chips for a deliciously sweet treat perfect for breakfast or dessert.

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
  3. Stir the melted butter into the mashed bananas.
  4. Mix in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract.
  5. Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture and stir to combine.
  6. Gradually add the flour, mixing just until incorporated.
  7. Fold in the chocolate chips evenly throughout the batter.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  9. Bake for 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  10. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.

Notes

For extra indulgence, serve warm with a spread of butter or cream cheese. You can also substitute chocolate chips with nuts for added texture.
