Chicken Cordon Bleu Casserole

A comforting and cheesy Chicken Cordon Bleu Casserole that combines tender chicken, ham, Swiss cheese, and a creamy sauce baked to golden perfection.

  • 3 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 cup cooked ham, diced
  • 1 ½ cups Swiss cheese, shredded
  • 2 cups cooked pasta (penne or rotini)
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, mayonnaise, milk, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well to create the sauce.
  3. Add the shredded chicken, diced ham, cooked pasta, and 1 cup of Swiss cheese to the sauce. Stir until everything is evenly coated.
  4. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it out evenly.
  5. Sprinkle the remaining ½ cup of Swiss cheese evenly over the top.
  6. In a small bowl, combine the breadcrumbs and melted butter. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the casserole.
  7. Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes or until the casserole is bubbly and the topping is golden brown.
  8. Remove from oven and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra crunch, add sliced almonds to the breadcrumb topping or serve with a fresh green salad for a complete meal.
