Creamy and spicy, Cajun Chicken Pasta combines tender chicken with flavorful Cajun spices and a rich sauce, making it an irresistible dinner option.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 8 oz penne pasta
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the penne pasta according to package directions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  2. Season the chicken breasts evenly with Cajun seasoning on both sides.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and cook the chicken for 5-7 minutes per side until cooked through. Remove the chicken, let rest, then slice into strips.
  4. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté the garlic and bell peppers until soft, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Add the chicken broth and heavy cream to the skillet, stirring to combine. Bring to a simmer.
  6. Stir in the Parmesan cheese until the sauce is creamy and slightly thickened.
  7. Add the cooked pasta and sliced chicken back into the skillet, tossing to coat everything evenly with the sauce.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

For extra heat, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or serve with crushed red pepper flakes on the side.
