Buckeye Dip

Buckeye Dip is a creamy, peanut butter and chocolate dessert dip inspired by the classic Ohio buckeye candy, perfect for gatherings and sweet snacking.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • Graham crackers, pretzels, or apple slices for dipping

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine peanut butter, softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Beat until smooth and creamy.
  2. Transfer the peanut butter mixture to a serving bowl and smooth the top.
  3. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt chocolate chips and butter together in 20-second intervals, stirring between, until completely melted and smooth.
  4. Pour the melted chocolate evenly over the peanut butter mixture, spreading it gently to create a chocolate layer on top.
  5. Refrigerate the dip for at least 2 hours to allow it to firm up before serving.
  6. Serve chilled with graham crackers, pretzels, or apple slices for dipping.

Notes

For extra flair, sprinkle chopped peanuts or a pinch of sea salt on top of the chocolate layer before chilling.
