Homemade Blueberry Pie Displayed on Kitchen Table

This classic blueberry pie is bursting with juicy blueberries and a flaky, golden crust. Perfect for dessert, it’s a sweet and satisfying treat everyone will love.

  • 6 cups fresh blueberries
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons butter, cut into small pieces
  • 1 box (14.1 ounces) refrigerated pie crusts
  • 1 tablespoon milk or cream
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar, for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, gently combine blueberries, sugar, flour, and lemon juice.
  3. Line a 9-inch pie plate with one pie crust.
  4. Pour blueberry mixture into the crust. Dot with butter pieces.
  5. Top with the second pie crust. Cut slits in the top crust to vent steam.
  6. Crimp the edges of the crust to seal.
  7. Brush the top crust with milk or cream, then sprinkle with sugar.
  8. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly. If the crust begins to brown too quickly, cover the edges with foil.
  9. Let cool completely before serving.
