Bloody Red Velvet Popcorn

Bloody Red Velvet Popcorn Introduction

Indulge in a spooky sweet treat with this Bloody Red Velvet Popcorn. A delicious combination of crunchy popcorn, rich red velvet flavor, and a hint of white chocolate “blood” drizzle – perfect for Halloween movie nights!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 cups popped popcorn
  • 4 oz white chocolate, chopped
  • 1 tbsp red food coloring
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Pop the popcorn and remove any unpopped kernels. Place popcorn in a large bowl.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth. Stir in red food coloring until desired “bloody” color is achieved.
  3. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add sugar, cocoa powder, and salt. Stir constantly until sugar is dissolved.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
  5. Pour the red velvet mixture over the popcorn and toss gently to coat evenly.
  6. Drizzle the melted red-tinted white chocolate over the popcorn.
  7. Let the popcorn cool completely to allow the chocolate to set before serving.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate instead of white chocolate for the blood drizzle. Add some Halloween sprinkles before the chocolate sets for extra festive flair!
