Cottage Cheese Tots are a healthy and delicious snack combining creamy cottage cheese with crispy golden exteriors, perfect for a quick bite or appetizer.

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green onions
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Olive oil or cooking spray, for greasing

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly grease a baking sheet with olive oil or cooking spray.
  2. In a large bowl, combine cottage cheese, shredded cheddar, panko breadcrumbs, eggs, green onions, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Mix thoroughly until the mixture is well combined and holds together.
  4. Using your hands or a small scoop, form the mixture into small tot-shaped bites and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the tots are golden brown and crispy on the outside.
  6. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For an extra crispy texture, try air-frying the tots at 375°F for 15 minutes, flipping halfway through.
