Beef Burger

Freshly Prepared Beef Burger Close-Up

A classic and juicy beef burger made with seasoned ground beef, served on a soft bun with fresh toppings and your favorite condiments.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (80% lean)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese (optional)
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Tomato slices
  • Onion slices
  • Pickles
  • Ketchup
  • Mustard
  • Mayonnaise

Instructions

  1. Preheat grill or skillet to medium-high heat.
  2. In a bowl, gently mix ground beef with salt and pepper. Form into 4 equal patties.
  3. Cook patties on grill or skillet for 4-5 minutes per side until desired doneness.
  4. If using cheese, place slices on patties during the last minute of cooking and cover to melt.
  5. Toast hamburger buns lightly on the grill or skillet.
  6. Assemble burgers by layering lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles on the bottom bun.
  7. Place cooked beef patty on top of the vegetables.
  8. Add ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise as desired.
  9. Top with the remaining bun and serve immediately.

Notes

For extra flavor, mix Worcestershire sauce or finely chopped onions into the beef before forming patties. Serve with fries or a side salad.
