This Berry Croissant Bake is a delightful, fruity breakfast casserole featuring flaky croissants and mixed berries, baked to golden perfection for a warm and comforting start to your day.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large buttery croissants, torn into pieces
  • 2 cups mixed berries (blueberries, raspberries, strawberries)
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×9-inch baking dish.
  2. Spread torn croissant pieces evenly in the prepared dish, then sprinkle mixed berries evenly on top.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, heavy cream, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt until well combined.
  4. Pour the custard mixture evenly over the croissants and berries, pressing gently to soak all pieces.
  5. Allow the bake to sit for 15 minutes to absorb the custard.
  6. Bake uncovered for 35-40 minutes or until the top is golden and the custard is set.
  7. Remove from oven and let cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar, if desired. Serve warm.

Notes

For an extra indulgent touch, drizzle with maple syrup or serve with a dollop of whipped cream.
